The 2025 Tour De Entete Committee, from PT Jelajah Sport, continues its detailed technical preparations for the tour. In addition to welcoming the foreign racing teams who have begun to assemble, on Sunday (September 7, 2025), the committee carried out branding by placing stickers on the vehicles that will be used in the convoy.
The sticker installation was carried out by the technical team in the courtyard of the NTT Governor’s official residence in Kupang. At least 60 minibuses were prepared to transport all team officials, race equipment, and committee members.
This was in addition to a special car for the commissar or race supervisor and a marshal motorcycle.
Technical Manager Arya Murti Wardhana stated that stickers on convoy vehicles at road cycling races cannot be applied haphazardly. The sticker installation technique is regulated by the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale/World Cycling Federation).
“The basic rule is that the stickers must be installed on the front and rear windows. They must also be brightly colored so they are easy to see,” he said.
Stickers identify the vehicle according to its role in the race. They are placed on the upper front and rear windshields, parallel to the roof.
For example, team vehicles are affixed with stickers with the race logo and the team’s full name.
Media vehicles are affixed with a “media” sticker. Race officials, such as “commissaires” 1-4, also use vehicles with the appropriate stickers.
For motorcycles, markers are attached to the rider’s vest. Motorcycle marshals use motorcycles for various purposes during the convoy’s movement.
Arya explained that the stickers are placed at the front and rear to make it easier for the commissaires, as referees, to monitor the road. During the convoy’s movement, stickers facilitate vehicle identification.
“Anyone who commits a violation or needs assistance can be identified immediately,” Arya explained.
Spare Bikes
In addition to branding, the committee also assembled a number of spare bikes and spare wheels.
The Neutral Service team prepared several spare wheelsets to handle emergencies if riders had problems with their bikes and were out of reach of their support team. (*)
